"No Rules, No Borders", a documentary about the Albanian footprints in the global cocaine chain

Citizens.al/Faxes from the documentary "No rules, no borders".

The documentary "No Rules, No Borders" deals with how Albanian groups have become key players in the global cocaine trade, especially in Ecuador and Colombia, through a network of emissaries and local collaborators.

Colombian journalists speak in the documentary Diana Duran and Felipe Morales Sierra, which provide a panorama of the evolution of organized crime in Colombia, from the time of the well-known Medellín and Cali cartels, to new groups linked to paramilitary structures.

Durán and Morales emphasize that the links with Albanian crime began after the 2000s, when Albanian emissaries began to appear in Latin America to directly order cocaine shipments.

The Prosecutor of the Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK), Alfred Shehu, talks about the work that has been done recently to combat this trend of criminal groups.

Albanian journalists Fatjona Mejdini from the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) and Xhevahir Zhabina analyze in detail the growing involvement of Albanian groups in international trafficking, especially in Ecuador, where they increasingly operate with local collaborators and safe routes to Europe.

Meanwhile, economic expert Vehap Kola speaks about the challenges the Albanian system faces in dealing with money laundering resulting from this trafficking. He warns of the great risks this activity poses to the economy and public security in the country.

The documentary constitutes a call for reflection on the lack of institutional control and the lack of international cooperation to crack down on these criminal networks that operate "without rules, without borders."
