Activists of the "Albania Becomes" party held their third protest in front of the prime minister's office on Saturday. They called on citizens to unite "against theft." The protest began with the listening and singing of the national anthem.

"Edi Rama, you thief, you thief," were the main chants of the crowd heading to the prime minister's office.

"This is the citizens' assessment of the contemporary, European, Euro-Atlantic leader of Albania, who claims to become a global leader," said Lapaj.

Since the first day he started the protest, with only "one chair", the leader of this party has articulated an unchanging demand, the resignation of the Prime Minister. During the protest, Lapaj criticized the successive attempts of the police forces to intimidate the protesters into stopping the resistance.

"He raped, arrested, and violently escorted 13 free citizens, including Ergys Lanaj, Alfred Matoshi, Eligert Hima, and Edi Haklaj," stressed Adriatik Lapaj.

Other activists also climbed the podium where the words "Join the Protest" were written and spoke about problems of a declining society, the environment, corruption, etc.

"Albanian parents did not live for themselves, but for us. Of course, they were betrayed by those who have taken this country hostage. But don't you think it's time to prove in the square that their sacrifices were not in vain" - said Najada Kambo during her speech.

Erjon Selmani raised his voice for the dissolution of the Albanian Forest Service. He stated that this led to unemployment for many specialists who have served Albanian nature for years.

"Floods are not simply an act of nature, but are the result of wrong decisions made by this system," Selmani asserted.

The protest was also supported by citizen groups such as the Durrës community, which is protesting against the TID Durrës project.

“A coward fighting against a monster” – Lapaj referred to the prime minister’s efforts to silence the voices of his supporters. He said that neither low temperatures nor police violence will bring an end to this initiative undertaken since December 8th.

Citizens has analyzedr before that the attempt to forcefully quell the protest is illegal.

Lawyer Genti Sejrani said that the motives of the law enforcement forces for removing the tent are invalid.

According to him, the police had legal alternatives for managing the situation. Temporary traffic diversion was one of them.

"They could even post a policeman during the day or night to direct the passage of vehicles," the lawyer commented earlier.
